Blind emboss is a relief-print without ink. It pre-dates written language by thousands of years.  Its genesis lies in coin casting and seal engraving. Stone inscription forms part of its evolution. Blind emboss is the print that dares not speak its name, the Nushu of the press. It is print in its most pure and poetic state, an object of tactile contemplation.
